Jackie and Cristi have enjoyed a Malbec from a family favorite - Cupcake Vineyard Wines. ALL of Cupcake's wine are fantastic and the Malbec is especially tasty with its notes of all of the excellent red wine essentials: chocolate, plum and berries. It has a dry nose and is a perfect Spring pairing for our chosen food of the week: Steak! I'm preparing a simple filet mignon recipe by my favorite, the Barefoot Contessa as we speak.
I've been enjoying a red Spanish blend by Este, vintage 2008. Simple and fruity, perfect for the crisp spring days we've had this week.
